School times: 8:55-4:15; students may enter the building at 8:30
Bus information can be found here: https://goo.gl/G8g7kX
Breakfast is served from 8:30-8:50
6th grade car riders should be dropped off in front of the gym
All 6th graders report to the gym every morning
All 7th/8th graders report to the commons or cafeteria every morning

What does my child do with school supplies?
Strack students do NOT have lockers, so please make sure your child only brings what is necessary for each particular school day. The first week of school, your child will only need to bring a binder, paper, pens and pencils. Teachers will ask for supplies as needed. Please remember that each child will be issued a Chromebook, so there is not a need for large binders.

When will my child eat lunch and can I eat with him?
Because we do not have lockers, home lunches will be carried in backpacks until 4th period.
11:35-12:00 A lunch (7th/8th grade)
12:05-12:30 B lunch (all 6th grade)
12:35-1:00 C lunch (7th/8th grade)
Students are frequently allowed to go outside and play after they are finished eating until the bell rings to return to class.
Parents may bring and eat lunch with their children, but we do not allow food delivered from outside vendors such as GrubHub, Door Dash, etc.
Add money and monitor your child's lunch account here: https://goo.gl/EtYbWx

What will my child's day look like?
6th grade core classes are housed in the 6th grade wing
Students have a 4 minute passing period between each class
Cougar PRIDE (7th period) is a built-in enrichment period
Chomebooks need to be charged, in the case, and on campus every day

How will my child go home?
Staggered dismissal- walkers are released first, then car riders, then bus riders
The first week of school, buses run VERY late (as much as 30 to 45 minutes behind the normal schedule)
You do not need to contact the school if your child is riding home in a different manner from which they arrived. However, students MUST ride their assigned bus unless they have permission in advance from the Assistant Prinicpal's office. The AP will call the parents of any parent involved to make sure that the child has permission to go home on a different bus.

What does 1:1 technology mean at Strack?
Students will be issued Chromebooks within the first few weeks of school.
The accidental loss protection fee must be paid in advance before the device is issued.
Schoology is the learning management system our teachers use to deliver and assess digital content
Handbooks and acceptable use policies regarding technology can be found on the campus website
