17 Klein ISD Destination Imagination Teams Advance to Lone Star Finals
Once again, Klein ISD dominated DI Regionals! Congratulations to the 17 Klein ISD Destination Imagination teams who won the right to advance to the 2024 Lone Star Finals. The teams from Klein ISD will join approximately 475 Texas Destination Imagination regional winners at the 2024 Lone Star Finals in April.
Destination Imagination is a unique opportunity for students to challenge themselves to grow not only in problem-solving and acting but also personally through critical thinking and collaboration.
“They grew a lot! They broke out of their shells and weren’t afraid to try new things,” Mittelstadt Elementary Team Manager Alyssa Marino said. “I loved seeing them problem solve.”
This year, Hofius Intermediate’s Edith Tullos competed in the Service Learning: Uncharted Challenge and won best design in the North Harris T-Shirt & Pin Contest. She submitted a “DIno-themed” shirt and slogan: “We’re D.I.gging it”
A special shout-out to all of the amazing Klein ISD DI team managers, appraisers, and families for another amazing regional tournament!
“New friends have bonded, and problem-solving skills were obtained,” Krimmel Intermediate Team Manager Paula Alexander said. “I am incredibly impressed by how the students speak to one another when they share "Grows and Glows" during practice for Instant Challenge.“
Be sure to check out the highlight reel on Instagram or Facebook, created by Lisa Mackey, NHTXDI Social Media Coordinator!
